Henzel Studio presents a special collaboration with Bernhard Willhelm and Jutta Kraus, developed in conjunction with the exhibition Bernhard Willhelm 3000: When Fashion Shows The Danger Then Fashion Is The Danger, held at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Los Angeles.
The exhibition unfolded as a speculative and critical environment, incorporating video, photography, ephemera, and objects selected by Willhelm. It served as both a meditation on consumer culture in the 21st century and a visionary response to the future of fashion — a “thinking-forward” project that questioned dominant systems of aesthetic and economic value.
As part of this context, Henzel Studio produced four hand-tufted, circular rugs, conceived in close dialogue with Willhelm. Each rug features a bold textual statement drawn from the exhibition’s conceptual framework, functioning as both functional object and artistic commentary. Crafted through Henzel Studio’s artisanal methods, the rugs extend the narrative of the exhibition into the tactile and spatial realm.
