His work belongs in the collections of the Centre National d'Art et de la Culture Georges Pompidou, Paris; Tate, London; K11 Foundation, Hong Kong and Collection musée d'art contemporain, Marseille, among others.

Carsten Höller uses his training as a scientist in his work as an artist, concentrating particularly on the nature of human relationships. His works have been shown internationally over the last two decades, including installations at Tate Modern, MASS MoCA, Guggenheim Museum, Fondazione Prada, ICA Boston, Musée d’Art Contemporain and New Museum among others.
